HOW TO BE OUR CO-CREATOR?

We follow a Volunteer and Membership Framework that fosters a strong sense of belonging, shared purpose, and growth. From the very beginning, new members are welcomed through a comprehensive onboarding process that emphasizes learning, skills-building, and community integration. This framework is rooted in the passion, commitment, and ownership of individuals who care deeply about heritage and culture, shared identity and community development in the Philippines.

We understand that our members come from diverse backgrounds and have varying responsibilities, which is why we offer flexibility and understanding. At the same time, we uphold shared values that guide our work together:

• Care and Diligence in fulfilling responsibilities;

• Ethical Conduct in all engagements; and 

• Genuine Support for the Mission of co-creating thriving and dignified Filipino communities.
  
  

Regular community events, gatherings, and collaborative efforts help strengthen these bonds. Alongside this, a thoughtful recognition system celebrates each member’s contributions, ensuring that everyone’s journey is meaningful and impactful. Komunida is more than just a space to volunteer—it’s a vibrant community where collaboration, learning, and purposeful connections thrive.

Our 2025 membership term will run from June 2025 to June 2026, with a transition period in July 2026. Throughout this time, we encourage consistent participation, while also recognizing that life happens and special circumstances may arise.

At the end of your Ka-Likha journey, you’ll receive an official Certificate of Completion, along with access to networking opportunities and a professional reference contact for future endeavors.

Roles and Duties of Our Members

As a KOMUNIDA member, you actively contribute to building empowered Filipino communities by:

• Participating in programs and activities that promote cultural identity, social justice, and community resilience;

• Collaborating with fellow members, volunteers, and partners to co-create meaningful projects and campaigns;

• Sharing knowledge, stories, and resources that amplify community voices and promote collective learning;

• Supporting advocacy efforts and helping to strengthen networks that advance shared causes; and

• Upholding KOMUNIDA’s values of inclusivity, respect, and shared responsibility in all engagements.
